While we're talking Uganda, for this week's Wednesday HDR here's a reprise of a pertinent post from last July:
Here's one of the famous tree-climbing lions of the Ishasha wilderness in Uganda. Shooting in camera RAW, you can pull detail (especially clouds) out of a photo taken when it's not feasible to set up a tripod and bracket multiple photos.Check out this A/B - first the HDR then the original:
The HDR version was exposed at + and - 2.0 and combined with the original in Photomatix Pro. Note how nicely the HDR shot brings back the sky, which was washed out in the original. Note also the added detail, especially in the lion's face.
