Thai King Bhumibol has been hospitalized for a month. The clock ticks, and the players assemble.
The Bangkok Post reports that the Cambodian strongman, Hun Sen, has offered a house to exiled former Thai Prime Minister Thaksin in Cambodia, which has a border with Thailand.
We've written about the succession-to-come. Articles marking his month in the hospital (since 19 September) speak of a fading monarch, succession fears sending "tremors through Thailand" and "a taste of things to come."
As we've said before, the good people of Thailand are among the kindest on the planet, their country is beautiful and their food is delicious, and besides genuine grief when their king dies, the last thing they need is what just might happen next.
Hoping for the best.
