Last week we looked at the woes of Antarctic tour providers. The International Association of Antarctica Tour Operators predicts that the number of visitors to Antarctica may fall some seven thousand to around 39,000
in the 2008-09 summer season.
It doesn't appear that the same is true at the antipodes. In an article headlined Tourism heats up at the North Pole, eTurboNews talks with a tour operator or two and concludes "one destination has never been busier - the North Pole."
