News of Samuel Huntington's death on Christmas Eve on Martha's Vineyard came just today, but that news has already brought forth what is, to me, a remarkable amount of "good riddance" comments on The New York Times website.
For me at least, Harvard professor Huntington's 1996 Clash of Civilizations, breaking the world into a different framework based on its ancient civilizations rather than on nation states, offered a wider, alternative way of framing the world we're living in now, a decade on.
