The good people at The Zambezi Safari & Travel Company, who arranged our mountain gorilla trek in Rwanda last summer, report that more than half of the babies born in a Kisumu, Kenya hospital on the 5th of November were named either Barack or Michelle.
They note in their newsletter that, "Kenya declared today (5 November) a public holiday - they just closed the whole place down and partied! Probably drinking Senator Keg beers, known simply as "Obamas."
